Today’s access lives inside cloud infrastructure, production systems, databases, SaaS platforms, service accounts and AI agents. A connector that tells you access exists is not enough. You need to know what that identity can actually reach, what it can do and whether that access should exist at all.

AI agents are making this harder to ignore.

When an agent can move across systems, pulling from a CRM, writing to a financial app, acting on data at a scale no human operator would, the sensitivity of each system in that action chain gets recalculated. A workforce application that felt low-risk when humans used it manually looks very different when an agent queries and acts on it without any guardrails. The definition of “sensitive system” is expanding, and privilege governance needs to keep pace.
