P0 Security Closes $15M Series A Funding to Help Enterprises Govern and Secure Cloud Access for All Human and Machine Identities in Minutes
Today, I’m excited to share a major milestone in our journey. We’ve successfully secured $15 million in Series A funding, just ten months after launching from stealth and four months after being named an RSAC Innovation Sandbox Top Ten Finalist. This new round brings our total funding raised to $20 million. The investment was led by SYN Ventures with participation from Zscaler and existing investor Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The Mission: Transforming Cloud Access
Legacy approaches to governing access to sensitive systems have relied on using IGA and PAM platforms to control access to enterprise applications, usually hosted behind network boundaries. We believe that governing cloud access is different because the cloud is much more complex than other enterprise applications. Further, the cloud can be accessed not just by human users, but by non-human identities, in many more ways, than typical applications.
In today’s cloud-native environment, the explosion of cloud resources, data locations and identities—both human and non-human—are exponentially expanding access paths to sensitive data and critical infrastructure, rendering traditional IGA and PAM platforms ineffective.
Historically, cloud access has been fragmented into different companies that tackled a narrow niche of the overall problem. Many require customers to deploy a proxy or a bastion to control cloud access. Over the last few years, as the cloud has evolved in sophistication, each subsequent company’s approach proved limited and outdated, as cloud technologies and APIs advanced.
The market demands a unified IGA/PAM solution built from the ground up, that covers all kinds of governance use cases for the cloud without pigeonholing enterprises into how IGA worked ten years ago. Those existing tools can’t govern the breadth of ways in which different entities can access the cloud.
P0 Security is the first to provide a solution to govern and secure cloud access for all identities—human or machine—in a unified platform. Through its agentless architecture, the P0 Security platform deploys in minutes, providing security teams complete visibility and control into who or what is accessing their cloud. Organizations can use the platform to manage the access lifecycle for developers and non-human identities, using developer-friendly workflows.

The Future: What’s Next?
The newly raised funds will be allocated to significantly scale P0 Security’s go-to-market and engineering teams, fueling our overall growth.
In addition to our Series A news, P0 Security also announced the appointment of SYN Ventures Operating Partner, Ryan Permeh, to the Board of Directors. Ryan will provide the executive team with strategic guidance as we launch into this next stage – we are excited to have him on board!
